Design Team: Jacob Cummings, Daniel GurwinAllegro Bakery is an all-vegan bakery and sandwich shop located in the Squirrel Hill neighborhood of Pittsburgh. We were brought in by the current owner of the business, who after aquiring what was formerly known as “Allegro Hearth Bakery”, asked us to update the visual identity to better reflect the welcoming, neighborly, and fun spirit Allegro brings to Murray Avenue. The owner, a former Los Angeles resident, was inspired by mid-century Googie signage, and we loved how bright and cheery the hand-lettered logos and color combos could be. Our identity includes many different meticulously hand-lettered logotypes that work together as a family of flexible marks that stays equally loose and recognizable.
