Design Team: Colin Miller, Daniel Gurwin“You Certainly Deserve to Treat Yourself!” H. Grace Confections produces indulgent, old-fashioned, hand-made chocolates and caramels. We were tasked with bringing H. Grace from a homemade, farmer’s market offering to a handmade, retail-ready product. We aimed to make a package that avoided photography, complex colors, or modern materials. The owner’s inspiration for the brand and product comes from their own childhood, so we instead focused on a nostalgic package that uses illustration and hand-lettering to reinforce the handmade product, and to encourage the viewer to use their own imagination about what’s inside.
