BRANDING - IDENTITY - PACKAGING - PRINT - APPAREL The Coffee Tree Roasters have been around since 1993, pioneering coffee roasting in the Pittsburgh area. After more than 25 years in business, they reached out to Daniel Gurwin Design to update the look and feel of the brand to reflect the robust company they’ve matured into. We created an entirely new set of logos and visual standards for the brand, covering everything from simple cafe materials to retail packaging, that honors the brand’s past while bettering positioning it for the next 25 years. photography by:

The new logo utilizes updated versions of the original logo's core elements. The result is a mark that feels simultaneously familiar and new.
the “café guests” graphic is an adaptation of a painting done by Burton Morris for the owners of The Coffee Tree Roasters. The painting has hung in the Walnut Street location for years, and is now a core visual component of the brand.
